A month or so I first heard of the Loudenville Winter Fest featuring ice sculptures. Last week-end I was afraid the weather would be too warm for the sculptures, but the past few days guaranteed that nothing would melt. This isn’t my favorite time of year, so I decided to embrace the cold instead of staying inside bundled up worrying about snow covered roads, the price of gas, yadda, yadda. B.D. was scheduled to work, so she couldn’t babysit me on a 102 mile trip each way. To Family Friend: You probably have to work? Yep, but the roads should be clear. Be careful.
“Olympic ice sculptor Aaron Costic and his crew from Elegant Ice Creations, in Broadview Heights will return to this year’s 2012 Mohican Winterfest with their beautiful ice creations.
Costic is a full-time ice sculptor with 20 years of ice sculpting experience. He has competed in Olympic competitions, and in world and national championships.”
It was difficult to get clear pictures, but it was still fun. There was a dragon but it was impossible to get the proper angle. (Believe me, I tried.)
