Reluctantly leaving San Toy (the jail could make the most darling little Chapel in the Woods!), we drove on to Shawnee. Luckily Family Friend was providing the transportation as well as the navigation, since I am not familiar with the area.
After stopping to shoot photos of abandoned buildings on what appeared to be the main street, FF drove us up and down the streets of the little town built in a hill.
We stopped in front of the jail.
He said he was saving the cemetery for last. I wish he would have saved it for NEVER, because it made me feel very uncomfortable, especially when we couldn’t see the entrance/exit lane from one of the lanes between hills.
On the way back we stopped at this house, which although abandoned, appeared to be structurally sound as well as visually appealing.
